Hidden In Christ

I was awakened from a dream about an owl in a tree the other morning. As I lied awake recalling the dream, the Holy Spirit interpreted the dream. I was made aware of how many animals exist that are able to hide themselves within their natural environments. They are naturally able to do this because of the way they were created. You see, the Father created them to be able to blend in with their surroundings as a camouflage. In that way, they are able to abide and rest safely, protected from predators. What an amazing and creative God we serve!

However, with us, God had a different protection plan! Instead of humans having the ability to blend into their environments as the animals, we were actually created to find our protection by hiding in God Himself! He is our protection from the dangers of this world, and from the enemy.

In the Bible, we read that God is our hiding place and preserves us from trouble (Ps 32:7). He hides us in the shadow of His wings (Ps. 17:8). He hides us in the secret place (Ps. 27:5). God is a refuge for us (Ps. 61:3). We are hidden with Christ in God. (Col 3:3).

How wonderful, that our Father has created us to abide, rest and hide in Him alone. Won’t you spend a few minutes today hiding in God?
